This past weekend, I had the pleasure of hosting and entertaining my visiting cousin from Germany, Silja. We did a whole lot of stuff that made me want to collapse for 100 years. I won’t go into all the deets because this blog is more than just narrating my weekends, ya know?! But it was great to introduce her to my life, since I am used to visiting her family every year or so at their home in Germany. 

It was definitely a weekend of some peculiar firsts for her including..
First time hanging out with me without our fams
First NY bagel (this one might not be true, but I will say it anyway)
First time trying frozen yogurt (16 Handles, that’s what’s up)
First time meeting any of my friends 
First times in Brooklyn
First cupcake (I know, I know, wtf. But the moment’s over) 
First Wes Andersen movie (Moonrise Kingdom) 

The visit was brief because she is about to start her summer adventure of working at my old summer sleep away camp, See bottom right picture for what she gets to live beside for 9 weeks. I’m incredibly jealous. In a perfect world, all jobs would have summer vacation so I could be a camp counselor for life.
