StyleCaster’s Beauty and The Beach Party

This past weekend I volunteered to go out to the Hamptons to help work StyleCaster’s big summer event. Sponsored by Dove, it was hosted at the Southhampton Social Club and well, I’ll just say this, no one really knows how to throw a party but us.

So I woke up at 5:30am on Saturday morning to ride down from Manhattan, but it was worth it. Before the party started I just helped set up Dove product in an aesthetically pleasing manner (there was a LOT) and the event step and repeat. 

I’ll describe the event using the five senses because, why not?

Heard: The band Geographer, DJ Kiss, and a lot of guests say “Welcome to Beauty and The Beach”. To explain: for the first two hours of the event I worked with our film crew on the intro part of the video StyleCaster will be creating on the event. My job consisted of going up to guests, making a minute of small talk and then coercing them to be in the video. For the most part, it was successful, phewf.

Touched: Hemp string at the DIY table hosted by blogger ISpyDIY, Dove products, & a lot of hair pins (complementary hair styling station, could not pass that up)

Smelled: NATURE- Long Island/ The Hamptons reminds me a lot of Cape Cod. It was nice to be surrounded by green. Oh I also smelled gourmet food, however did not get the opportunity to eat.

Tasted: Belvedere vodka sodas. Yeah I’m that girl, sue me.

Felt: sweaty, happy and pooped by the end (took a nap in the car).
